On Tuesday Evening January 12th, the GTFD Responded to a chimney fire. Chief Rose contacted the Sussex County Dispatch Center reporting an active chimney fire with visible flames and embers coming from the flu pipe. Chief Rose requested 95 fire an a ladder truck from Allamuchy respond into scene.
Thanks to Allamuchy FD and Allamuchy Green First Aid Squad for the assist on scene.
Units arrived on scene shortly after dispatch and were able to extinguish the fire with no further extension outside of the firebox.
